Ruth and her dad have spent the weekend along with her aunts, their partners and her cousin visiting the ancient GG, Ruth's coolly distant step-grandmother, at the family farm. But their long weekend turns into an enforced family holiday when GG ends up dead under suspicious circumstances. Ruth, an amateur detective (well, she's read a lot of Agatha Christie books) discovers nearly everyone had a reason to be rid of GG and now her list of suspects includes everyone in the house, including (in the interests of fairness) Ruth.
