We're (nearly) back to normal!
We are delighted to announce that from Monday 29 June Far From The Madding Crowd is reopening!
- Please note we will have slightly shorter opening hours, from 10-4 to begin with. This will enable us to deep clean every day.
- We have taken precautions to ensure all of our customers have a safe and enjoyable experience when shopping with us, including providing hand sanitiser stations, disposable gloves and putting distancing measures in place.
- We are now able to process customer orders as normal, we will continue to offer local delivery for anyone shielding and can also offer P&P for a flat rate of £3 anywhere in the UK.
We want to thank all of our customers once again for helping us to keep going through this difficult time: we can't wait to welcome you back into the shop!

A new way to shop with us
We have also launched our brand new website which means you can browse our book stock and buy direct through the website (it's a brave new world indeed)
We will be adding more elements to the website all the time, so please keep checking!
