Three more STONKING events for you, from us, via Wee Three Indies!

Your next lot of fabulous Wee Three Indies events!

We have three amazing events lined up in the next two weeks, don't miss a single one!

Donald S Murray, In A Veil of Mist, Wednesday 10 March, 7.30pm. Hosted by Chris Dolan
First up THIS Wednesday at 7.30pm, Donald S Murray is launching his latest novel, In A Veil of Mist. Donald's first novel, As the Women Lay Dreaming, covered the Iolaire tragedy, and this one covers another slice of Hebridean history. In 1952 on a ship moored off the Isle of Lewis, Operation Cauldron is underway, testing germ warfare on animals and posing a huge threat to the neighbouring islands. This beautiful and haunting novel explores the costs and fallout of warmongering. Chris Dolan is hosting the event, so we'll be covering a lot of ground as his latest book, Everything Psses, Everything Remains is a cycling tour of Spain!

Alexander McCall Smith, Monday 15 March, 7pm
Next up we have the perfect event for Mother's Day! To celebrate the return of the hilarious Von Igelfield series with the most genial man of letters we know, join us at the official launch party to toast the arrival of Your Inner Hedgehog. Alexander McCall Smith will read from the book and answer all your questions. We will also be raising our glasses to two other titles - In A Time of Distance and The Talented Mr Varg - as part of Sandy's Spring Tour.
Tickets for this event range in price from £5 to £14.99 and can be purchased through our website here

Peter May, The Night Gate, Thursday 18 March, 7pm. Hosted by Abir Mukherjee.
And last, but by no means least, in our third book launch for March we have the one and only Peter May, direct to the device of your choice! Peter's books are global bestsellers and we cannot wait to hear all about his latest standalone thriller, The Night Gate. We are doubly thrilled that Abir Mukherjee, author of the Sam Wyndham crime novels, is hosting the event, so get your tickets today!
Tickets for this event range in price from £5 to £20 and you can purchase your ticket through our website here

Mother's Day is just around the corner!

Mother's Day is this Sunday 14th March! We have our usual range of cards, books and gifts available and while we know it's not an ideal shopping situation at the moment, we are pleased to offer 15 minute appointments so you can 'browse' our selection in our covid-secure entrance hall!

Please contact sally@maddingcrowdlinlithgow.com, or telephone 01506 845509 and we can make an appointment.

Of course, our top recommendation this year is a ticket to our evening with Alexander McCall Smith: we can't think of a better present for mum this year!
