Independent Bookshop Week is nearly upon us!
It's the best week of the year (for independent bookshops!) and we've got some tip-top offers, author visits and exclusive editions lined up for you! Running from this Saturday 18th June - Saturday 25th June, make sure you don't miss out! EVENTS
-
Mo Wilde's year of living off foraged food is an incredible journey and we're so glad she's joining us on Sunday 19th June at noon to tell us all about it with The Wilderness Cure! We're also delighted that Lindsay and the team have invited us to base the event at Bonnytoun Farm! Directions to the farm are here: Bonnytoun Farm
***This event is fully booked, and we're asking anyone who is able to bring their own camping chair!
- One of our favourite authors Karen Campbell returns to Linlithgow with Paper Cup, the tale of a woman's pilgrimage from Glasgow to find home, and herself, in Dumfries and Galloway. It's a sharply observed, often funny, and incredibly moving tale - full of the warmth and stunning prose that Karen is rightly so well-known for.
***Wednesday 22nd June, 7pm in St Peter's Church, Linlithgow. Tickets £3 and available here, or of course direct from the bookshop.
- Special Friday storytelling with the guinea pigs! We'll be celebrating Independent Bookshop Week with a special storytelling session featuring some of the shortlisted picture books in the Indie Book Awards.
***As always, this session is free, but booking is essential, which you can do here.
