Easter fun at

Far From The Madding Crowd!

Our event with James Oswald has been postponed until September when everyone has a little bit more time!

The new date is Wednesday 17th September at 7.00pm in St Peter’s Church.

If you had purchased a ticket for the original event next week, please contact us for a refund, or to transfer your ticket to the new date.

We’re looking forward to catching up with all things Inspector Maclean and tales from the farm when James visits in September!

Other events coming up soon at Far From The Madding Crowd!

New events for the summer and beyond!

Postman Bear storytelling and craft event

Friday 11th July, 11.00am

The Low Port Centre

Following the success of our family Gruffalo event last year, we’re thrilled to announce that Postman Bear from the popular Acorn Wood series will be visiting Linlithgow on 11th July!

Based around the stories created by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, this will be a great family event! Children will get the opportunity to meet Postman Bear and have their picture taken. There will be storytelling and craft activities as well.

All activities suitable for ages 3+. Adult supervision required at all times.

Family tickets £8*

*A family ticket admits up to 6 people.

An Afternoon with Ann Cleeves

Wednesday 8th October, 2.00pm

St Michael’s Parish Church

It’s the big one! Not only are we over the moon to be welcoming Ann Cleeves back to Linlithgow after 8 years, but she’s coming to talk about her latest book, The Killing Stones, which sees the return of Jimmy Perez! And this time he’s solving crime on Orkney!

I’m not sure much more needs to be said, other than book your place early: do not miss this!
