JIM CRUMLEY & LEO DU FEU
SATURDAY 28TH FEBRUARY, 10.00AM
ST PETER'S CHURCH, 153 HIGH STREET, LINLITHGOW
It wouldn't be the Further From Festival without Jim Crumley, and Leo has also appeared on several occasions. This year is a bit different however as for the first time they have collaborated on a very special book, Symphonic.
Symphonic is beautifully written and and personal account of Jim Crumley’s lifelong quest to find harmony in nature as he celebrates our precious planet, drawing on more than six decades of immersion in wild landscapes to explore the profound harmony at the heart of the natural world—and why it matters now more than ever.
Scotland’s foremost nature commentator, Crumley weaves together close observation, personal encounters, and ecological insight to reveal nature as a vast, interconnected symphony. He argues that our survival depends on relearning how to listen to the land, to recognise our place within the great orchestration of life rather than apart from it.
Leo du Feu is a highly regarded nature artist, who grew up here in Linlithgow before moving to Burnt Island. His award-winning art is internationally renowned.
This will be a thought-provoking conversation between two friends whose love of the natural world and art is only strengthened by their love of cake!
TICKETS £8, includes refreshments on the evening and discounted book sales.
